Philosophy/Goals

Philosophy:

Our philosophy of teaching is to work with the whole child in the context of a well-balanced program. Luke 2:52 says, "Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man." Therefore, our goal is to encourage each child to grow in each of these five areas: physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually. We believe this is best done through play (learning centers) because children retain more through fun and active learning.

Basic Goals:

  • To foster an environment where each child would come to know of Christ’s great love for him/her.
  • To provide a variety of experiences appropriate for the preschool-aged child.
  • To promote positive behavior by setting limits, reinforcing appropriate behavior and redirecting inappropriate behavior.
  • To create a sense of teamwork among teachers, parents and children by reinforcing relationships and promoting open communication on an on-going basis.
